Two men remain in garda custody this morning following the seizure of nearly half a million euro worth of cannabis in Limerick.
The drugs were discovered following raids on four different locations today.
Gardaí from Newcastle West Garda station, assisted by the Garda National Drug Unit and the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit carried out a series of planned searches Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale areas earlier today.
During the raids, they uncovered cannabis herb and cannabis plants all at different stages of harvesting.
They are estimated to have a street value of €480,000, pending analysis.
Two men - aged 39 and 36 - were arrested.
They are currently being detained at Newcastle West and Henry Street Garda stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
