Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed raid in Dublin last night.
It happened at a supermarket in the Clarehall area of the city.
Shortly before 10.30pm two men entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two staff members before tying them up and assaulting them.
They were armed with a knife.
Cash was recovered
The pair then fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.
The workers were not seriously injured and raised the alarm.
Soon after gardaí made 2 arrests nearby and recovered cash.
The men are now being questioned at Coolock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and investigations are continuing.
