Two women have been arrested by Gardaí investigating human trafficking, money laundering and prostitution.

The women, aged 29 and 24-years-old were arrested after Gardaí searched two premises in the Mullingar area this morning.

Gardaí said the women were arrested in connection with the investigation.

They are being held at Mullingar Garda Station.
