Gardaí have carried out an extensive search and arrest operation in County Louth aimed at tackling “drug related intimidation behaviour” in the area.
Investigators said the operation took place early this morning to combat intimidation in the Drogheda and mid-Louth regions.
Uniformed gardaí were backed up by the Emergency Response Unit and two Regional Armed Support Units to carry out the searches at four homes.
Two men in their 20s were arrested and are being held at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda Stations.
A quantity of suspected cannabis and cocaine worth around €5000 were uncovered during the searches.
Investigators also confiscated a vehicle and a quantity of mobile phones.
