Two men have been arrested as part of an investigation into the murders of Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan.
The remains of the two friends from Coolock were found on an island on the Cavan-Meath border last month.
Earlier this month, hundreds of people attended the joint funeral mass of the two men.
Just over a week beforehand, garda divers found their bodies covered in plastic sheeting on Inchicup Island on Lough Sheelin.
They had been reported missing after leaving Dublin on April 22nd and it is believed they were killed after travelling to Cavan to collect a drug debt.
Their families became concerned when the two friends stopped answering their phones that day.
A double murder investigation was launched and as part of their inquiries gardai arrested two men in the Cavan area today.
The pair - who are aged in their 20s and 30s - are both being held at Kells garda station for questioning.
