Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Dundrum in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí said a man and a woman entered the shop on the Dundrum Road and stole a sum of cash at around 9:10pm yesterday.

The man was armed with what was believed to be a knife; however, no injuries were reported.

A man and a woman were arrested a short time later and detained at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station.

They have since been charged and are due to appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court this morning at 10:30am.
