Following the seizure of a gun and ammunition in Dublin earlier this week, two men have appeared in court. 

45-year-old Declan Coulahan of Drumcairn Parade, Tallaght and 35-year-old Michael Simpson of Rowlagh Avenue, Clondalkin appeared before Blanchardstown District Court today.

Gardaí discovered a semi-automatic Glock pistol during the search of a vehicle in Clondalkin on Tuesday - it was alleged that both men were in the vehicle at the time.

No applications for bail were made and both men were remanded in custody to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Monday.
