Two men have been charged with the murder of Limerick man Dylan McCarthy.
The 29-year-old was fatally injured while out socialising in Kildare in August of last year.
This morning, 23-year-old Calvin Dunne of Abbey View, Monasterevin and 24-year-old Sean Kavanagh of St Mary’s Lane, Monasterevin were brought to court facing murder and public disorder charges.
Mr Kavanagh also faces a charge of serious assault causing harm.
Naas District Court heard today Mr McCarthy died after an alleged assault on August 21st, after two groups of people got into a “large altercation” on the Dublin Road in Monasterevin.
Both of the accused have been remanded in custody and will appear again before the court on Thursday.
