Three people have been killed in a shooting in Denver in the US state of Colorado.

Two children under the age of 10 and a woman are dead.

Police say the victims were shot at a house in the north-eastern part of the city.

A 3rd child was wounded and is in a critical condition.

Police say it was an isolated incident and there is no indication the shooter is still on the loose.

Police Lieutenant Matt Murray said "We are talking to people, we are now talking to witnesses, but we have no indication that there is a shooter out there on the loose in Denver".

The neighbourhood is in an industrial area, surrounded by warehouses and a trucking terminal.
