In the North, two people have died in separate road crashes in County Tyrone.

In the first incident, which occured at around 10pm last night, a man in his 40s was killed in a two-vehicle collision involving a lorry and a van on the Melmount Road in Victoria Bridge, Strabane.

Police have a arrested a man.

Separately, a woman in her 50’s was killed in a one-vehicle crash on the Moneymore Road in Cookstown at around 2.30 am.

Police are appealing for witnesses to both incidents to contact them.
