Two men have been injured following a shooting incident in Ballyfermot in Dublin.

The incident happened at Clifden Drive at around 10.20 this evening.

The men-one aged 53 and the other in his early 20’s received gunshot injuries.

Both men have been taken to St. James hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
