At least two people have been killed and 14 injured after a goods train carrying chemicals derailed in flames in Belgium. 

The train was en route to the Netherlands from Germany and the two people who died lived alongside the track. 

Belgian authorities evacuated nearly 300 people from their homes after several cars of the train derailed, causing a major fire near the city of Gent.
