Two men have been arrested after Gardaí seized cocaine worth €55,000 in Cork city.
Gardaí conducted a surveillance operation at around 5.30pm yesterday evening and observed a "significant" drug transaction in the Ballincollig area.
During a number of searches in a vehicle and two homes, cocaine estimated to be worth €55,000 and a number of items relating to the sale and supply of drugs were seized.
Two men in their 40s were arrested during the course of the intelligence-led operation.
They are both are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 in Gurranabraher and Mayfield Garda Stations.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
