Gardaí have arrested three men in connection with the Regency Hotel attack in Dublin five years ago.
34-year-old David Byrne was shot dead when an armed gang stormed the hotel at a boxing weigh-in on February 5th 2016.
Mr Byrne was a member of the Kinahan crime gang and Gardaí have long believed the attack was carried out by the rival Hutch gang.
They believe the attack was in retaliation for the murder of Gary Hutch in Spain in 2015.
This evening, Gardaí at Ballymun arrested two men aged 50 and 60-years-old in connection with the murder.
Shortly afterwards a third man, aged in his 60s, was arrested.
All three are appearing before the Special Criminal Court this evening.
It comes after a European arrest warrant was issued for Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch in connection with the attack.
