Two men have been arrested in Cork after a soccer team were attacked with weapons.
One man has been hospitalised.
At around 7:30pm on Thursday, 18 players from Richmond Football Club were training in Garrandarragh.
Two men aged in their 20s approached the team and a row broke out - ending with both men leaving shortly afterwards.
They then returned to the pitch armed with weapons, including a machete and a knife.
The players immediately ran to their cars but the men followed them and began smashing up their cars and breaking windscreens.
One player was taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening facial injuries.
While two men were arrested at the scene for public order offences.
