Two men have been charged with a number of offences including false imprisonment, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and theft in Northern Ireland.

It follows an incident at a property in the Coleraine Road area of Portstewart on Thursday.

Police say a 21 year-old-man was held against his will for a number of hours and assaulted.

The men, aged 23 and 25, will appear before Ballymena Magistrates court today.
