Two men have been charged and remanded in custody following a special sitting of Kilcock District Court to appear in Cloverhill District Court on Friday 25th October.

The men aged 40 and 53 appeared in court at 3pm this afternoon following a major drugs haul. 

Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit searched a house at Johnstown Bridge in Co Kildare yesterday. 

Cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of up to 2 million euro was discovered. 

Mixing agents were also seized, and Gardai have described the scene as a "sophisticated mixing factory".
