Two men have died following a house fire in Tipperary.

The fire broke out in the Littleton area of Thurles at around 2.30am this morning.

The men, aged in their 80s and 50s, were pronounced dead.

Their bodies remain at the scene.

The fire service has extinguished the blaze and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí are urging anyone with information on the fire to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
