Two men have been killed in a road collision in county Donegal in the early hours of this morning.

Two other men have been seriously injured.

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the Rathmullan to Portsalon road in Co. Donegal this morning.

The single vehicle collision happened at Kinnegar Bridge when it's believed a car struck a tree and a wall-at around 3.10 this morning.

Two men were fatally injured and they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men have also been seriously injured. They have been airlifted to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.

It's understood all four men are thought to be in their late teens or early 20's.

The road at the scene is closed to allow Gardai carry out a forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.

 Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was on the Rathmullan to Portsalon Road between 2.30 and 3.30 this morning to contact Milford Garda Station.
