Two men will appear in court today in connection with the death of Kieran Quilligan in Cork.
The men, aged in their 20s and 30s, will appear before the Cork District Court at Anglesea Street Courthouse.
Both men were arrested on Sunday in connection with the suspected murder of the 47-year-old Cork man.
Gardaí previously said the man in his 20s was released yesterday.
Mr Quilligan was last seen on September 1st in Cork city centre.
Gardaí searched farmland and coastline at Little Island for 11 days later that month, however no trace of the 47-year-old was found.
Irish Independent Southern Correspondent Ralph Riegel previously told Newstalk investigations so far suggest Mr Quilligan died violently.
“What we understand is that Mr Quilligan was subjected to quite a savage assault in the hours before his death,” he said.
He noted the main suspects involved in the investigation so far are “all are associated with a drugs gang” in Cork, though it is not yet clear if these suspects were those arrested today.
