Two people have been shot by Police in New York's Time Square. 

The two women were shot by accident, as police tried to arrest a man in the busy tourist area. 

Their injuries are not life threatening. 

A 35 year old man was running in and out of traffic, and appeared to be trying to get hit by a car. 

Officers fired three shots at the man and missed. 

Police then used a taser gun to apprehend him.
