Two people are being questioned after €70,000 worth of cocaine was seized on the outskirts of Cork city.

Gardaí swooped on two people in the Sallybrook area of Glanmire around 2pm yesterday afternoon, and found a kilo of cocaine they believe had come from Dublin and was destined for the local market.

A man aged 56 and woman aged 22 were arrested and taken to Cobh and Midleton Garda Stations for questioning.
