Two people have been hospitalised following an explosion in Co Clare. 

The incident occurred at Walsh’s Bar in Killaloe shortly before 1pm. 

Units from three fire brigades were called to the scene and brought a blaze under control. 

Gardaí said two people were taken to Limerick University Hospital as a “precaution”. 

Investigations are ongoing.
