Two people have been killed and 16 others injured following the collapse of a ceiling in a hospital in central India.

Patients and staff were trapped underneath piles of rubble after the first floor of the building in Bhopal caved in.

The bodies of two people were found when the rescue team started removing debris.

The death toll is not expected to rise and rescue efforts are said to be complete.
