26 police officers have been injured in clashes in Belfast tonight.
The PSNI says it is currently dealing with significant public disorder following clashes.
Police were pelted with bricks and smoke bombs, as loyalist demonstrators gathered to protest about a Republican march.
5 officers required hospital treatment.
In a statement issued tonight the Assistant Chief Constable George Hamilton said, "Police have come under heavy and sustained attack by crowd’s intent on creating disorder."

The PSNI says "Police are currently dealing with significant public disorder in a number of areas around Royal Avenue and North Street.

A number of missiles have been thrown at Police and four Police Officers have been injured, two required hospital treatment and two were treated for their injuries at the scene. To date we have reports that two members of the public have also been injured.
A number of parked vehicles have also been set on fire in the North Street area.
Due to the level of violence officers faced, 20 AEPs were fired, and two water cannons were deployed as part of a proportionate policing operation"
