In the UK 2 female police officers have died after a shooting in Greater Manchester.
Police say they were answering a sighting of a murder suspect in the Tameside area.
Reports suggest around 13 shots were fired.
There were also reports of an explosion and a grenade at the scene.
Dale Cregan was wanted over the deaths of a father and son in separate attacks.
He has since been arrested in relation to those charges and also on suspicion of the murder of a police officer.
The British Prime Minister has expressed his shock at the incident.
“I want to offer my thoughts, along with those of the whole country, to the families, friends and colleagues at this difficult time” he said.
Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan said “A long and dark shadow has been cast across Greater Manchester and my thoughts are with the officers’ family, friends and colleagues”.
“We will be doing everything we can to support them over the coming days and weeks” he added.
Reporter Nick Martin is at there.
He says the two officers seemed to have stumbled upon the scene.
