Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings for several parts of the country.
Storm Barbara is set to pass over Ireland this weekend.
The forecaster has issued a status orange wind warning for coastal regions and high ground in Donegal, Galway and Mayo.

It says conditions will be "very windy" on Friday.
There will be southerly winds, later west to southwest, of 65 to 75 km/h.
While there will also be severe gusts reaching between 100 and 120 km/h.

And a status yellow wind warning is in place for the rest of the country.
Winds here on Friday will be west to southwest up to 65 km/h.
Met Éireann says gusts of between 90 and 110 km/h are expected - strongest on exposed coasts.
