Two women have been charged in connection with the discovery of a shotgun and ammunition in Longford on Monday night.
The women - aged 43 and 41 - are due to appear at Athlone District District court this morning after being charged late last night.
A third woman - who is aged 46 - was released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

Gardaí say their investigations into the activities of organised crime gangs in Longford are ongoing.
