Two young men have died in a car crash in County Carlow.
It happened at approximately 1.15am this morning on the N80 in Leagh, Rathoe, County Carlow.
The driver and a passenger, both aged 20, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers of the car, a man and woman aged in their 20s, were taken to St. Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The N80 at Leagh is currently closed and will remain closed for a number of hours as the scene is examined.
It is understood that the single car involved in this collision was travelling from Mount Leinster to Carlow town via Fenagh.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
