Uisce Éireann is asking people to try to conserve water as levels are running low.
Around seven thousand customers are without water, as crews are working to access treatment plants.
Reservoirs have also been affected by freezing temperatures, while power cuts are affecting services.
Uisce Éireann spokesperson Margaret Attridge warned people to be mindful with water.
“So, really, we’re just asking people to be mindful of water usage in their home by taking shorter showers, by turning off the tap when they’re brushing their teeth and only running their appliances when there’s full loads on their washing machines and dishwashers,” she said.
“We’re also asking farmers [to] check their outside troughs, typically those pipes that service troughs can run above ground and are vulnerable to freeze – and also their outside sheds.”
Around 30 thousand homes, farms and businesses were without water supply earlier today.
