Bradford West candidate allegedly retweeted a tweet about exit polls before voting close last night. This is a clear breach of the guidelines. It is said that council officials passed a screengrab of the offending tweet to the police.
Acting returning officers in the count centre Suzan Hemingway said "We have reported a tweet by George Galloway to the police who are dealing with the issue."
The tweet has since been deleted and a spokesperson for the Respect Party said "It seems like a storm in a thimble".
