Wintry weather will sweep across Britain this week, with the Met Office there issuing warnings for snow and ice in Scotland in particular.
Forecasters say tomorrow night is expected to be the coldest of the week, especially for central and eastern areas.
A wind warning has been issued for Wednesday for north Wales, northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Severe gales with gusts of around 70 miles an hour are expected.
And while Irish weather is not as severe, it will be getting colder this week.
Showers will continue tomorrow for a time in Ulster and Connacht - but these will tend to die out during the afternoon.
Elsewhere will be dry with sunny periods and fresh, westerly winds. But the day will be cold, with highest temperatures 5 to 8 degrees.
Tuesday sees early morning frost, before temperatures increase under cloudier skies. The day will remain cloudy and windy with heavier and more persistent rain spreading eastwards in the evening.
Wednesday will see heavy showers across the west and north, but drier over many eastern and south-eastern counties. Highest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees with very blustery westerly winds.
Thursday is remaining cold and windy with showers more widespread, turning wintry on higher ground.
Friday will see a bright but colder day, with highest temperatures of only 2 to 5 degrees and a severe frost is forecast overnight.
