A young man whose body was found on a street in London "almost certainly died" after falling out of a passing plane.
An inquest has this morning been hearing how José Matada hid inside the landing gear of a British Airways flight from Angola in a desperate attempt to start a new life in the UK.
It is believed he was already at the point of death due to hypothermia and lack of oxygen when he fell from the plane as its undercarriage opened for its descent into Heathrow Airport last year.
Police were called to the area on September 9th 2012 following reports that a body had fallen from the sky.
The man was later identified as 30-year-old Matada from Mozambique after a SIM card was found in his jeans and phone numbers stored on it were contacted.
A post-mortem examination found that he died from multiple injuries.
