Police in England searching for the missing schoolgirl Tia Sharp have sealed off an area around her grandmother’s home in south London.

The 12 year-old was last seen there exactly 1 week ago.

The schoolgirl was last seen near her grandmother’s house in New Addington in the south of the city.

Scotland Yard says the cordon has been put up as part of a pre-planned search.

More than 20 officers are there as is reporter Martin Brunt.

He says officers are stepping up the investigation.
