UKIP has won its first UK council - taking control of Thanet.
South Thanet is where Nigel Farage failed to win a seat in Parliament, leading to his resignation as party leader.
Some of the 56 seats on Thanet District Council have yet to be returned, but UKIP already has the 30 it needs for a majority.
In a tweet, the party said:
Thanet District Council has #GonePurple. First Authority in the United Kingdom to have a #UKIP majority!

Suzanne Evans, who is expected to take over as interim party leader, tweeted that she was "beyond delighted".
UKIP won a 13% vote share in the General Election but have called for a change in the electoral system after this left them with just one MP - Douglas Carswell.
Council election counts are continuing into a third day - but after 259 declarations (out of 279 authorities which staged elections) the Tories were the big winners.
Conservatives had 518 net seat gains, UKIP 76 and Greens 14.
Liberal Democrats had 343 net losses and Labour 197.
