The Ukrainian ambassador to Ireland has said she would be happy to meet with President Michael D Higgins wife, Sabina.
It follows debate after a recent letter Mrs Higgins wrote to The Irish Times suggested now is the time for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
Ambassador Larysa Gerasko told The Hard Shoulder she is open to meeting anyone who wishes to talk with her.
"Irish support and support of the Government of Ireland: your stance is very well-known in Europe, in Ukraine and in Ireland as well.
"I had a couple of meetings with the President of Ireland as well. He condemned and condemned the Russian invasion.
"I am very open to all meetings with representatives of all political parties, with all politicians of course.
"Ireland is a very democratic country, and the freedom of speech is one of the main values.
"So everyone can express [their] own opinion."
Asked directly if she would meet Mrs Higgins, Ambassador Gerasko replied: "Of course, why not. As I said I'm very open."
She was speaking as Wednesday marked six months since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Ambassador Gerasko said Ukranians are very thankful for Ireland's help - especially in the middle of a housing crisis.
"Our people are looking for shelter here, temporary shelter.
"And at the same time we understand that Irish people and Ireland is facing a problem and housing challenges.
"I'm deeply concerned on this situation, of course.
"And I hope that the Irish Government will manage and will find solutions in order to grant to our people - more or less - a long-term admiration, especially for women and children".
She added: "Most of Ukrainians are satisfied by the quality of their accomodation, they are very grateful to Irish people and to the Government of course.
"They feel safe here - of course, Ireland is a very safe place for sure.
"Many Ukrainians have returned to Ukraine as well: more than two million have returned".
