The UN Secretary General has warned against military strikes on Syria - saying they could have 'tragic' consequences in a country already suffering an 'unprecedented' humanitarian crisis.
Ban ki-Moon made the impassioned plea at the G20 Summit - where he said any Western intervention could spark more sectarian violence.

Almost a third of Syria's 20 million people have either been forced to flee the country or been displaced during the 2-year-long conflict.
The UN's Humanitarian chief Valerie Amos has arrived in Syria to assess the scale of the humanitarian crisis.
