QED Training's urging anyone with a business idea to sign up for their training course, which will give them the skills to get a company off the ground.

The course is part of a €20 million FÁS Initiative which was launched by the Tánaiste and Minister for Education in December.

General Manager of QED Training, Noel Davidson, says despite the recession, it's still possible for people to set up on their own:

The “Momentum” programme organised by FAS will support free education and training projects to allow 6,500 job seekers (who are unemployed 12 months or more) to gain skills and to access work opportunities in identified growing sectors.

As part of this programme QEDtraining is organising a course specifically targeted towards moving people from unemployment to self-employment by setting up their own companies.

The QED “Don’t Just Get a Job, Build a Business” programme is designed to give those people who are motivated and committed to starting their business in 2013, the skills, support and impetus to achieve this goal.
