The Low Pay Commission officially launches its report today.

The Commission's recommendation to increase the national minimum wage has been widely reported and broadly criticised by both unions and employers.

Business groups are insisting the 50 cent hourly rise will fuel pressure for pay hikes right across the economy.

But Jimmy Kelly of the Unite union says the pay rise doesn't do enough to help low paid workers.
