A postal worker in the US has been caught on camera apparently removing packages from a postal truck and then tossing them in a nearby ravine.

The video shows the man remove several packages from a USPS branded truck and then throw them over the edge of a steep embankment by the road.

The incident in question occurred last Monday in Birmingham, Alabama.

The employee then resigned from the company on Thursday, after the video went viral on social media.
