The long-running US version of The Office is finally coming to an end.

The mockumentary, originally created by Ricky Gervais, will finish after the upcoming ninth season on NBC.

Producers are hoping Steve Carell – who left the show last year – will make a return for the last few episodes, which we’re promised will be “memorable”.
