Vaccinated customers should be allowed to eat and drink indoors as soon as the country’s pubs reopen, according to the Licensed Vintners Association.
In a tweet last night, the chairman of the Licenced Vintners Association Noel Anderson called for indoor dining to be reserved for “the vaccinated elderly” when pubs reopen.
“If hospitality is to start outdoors wouldn’t it be great if the inside was used for the vaccinated elderly,” he said.
“It would give them all a welcome change and also help the business survive and rebuild. A win-win.”
Final thought for the week. If hospitality is to start outdoors wouldn’t it be great if the inside was used for the vaccinated elderly. It would give them all a welcome change and also help the business survive and rebuild. A win win. #opentogther pic.twitter.com/mraBIkv0QO

The Lemon & Duke Managing Director said the over-55s should be “well-vaccinated” by the time outdoor hospitality returns, along with healthcare workers.
