US tech giant Verizon is to base its new Centre of Excellence at the 1BQ office building in Limerick city.
It has signed a 15-year lease for 84,334sq ft (7,835sq m) of space at the new development.
Verizon is one of the world's leading providers of enterprise and consumer communications and technology services.
The company announced last December it was to employ more than 400 people at the Limerick centre over the next two years.
The 1BQ building is eight stories and also includes ground floor commercial units and residential apartments.
A spokesman for Kirkland, who delivered the development, said it's a great endorsement for the city.
"They will provide a huge economic lift to the city and the wider region," they said.
"We are delighted to welcome them to 1BQ, which is fantastic addition to our portfolio."
Verizon Global Services Craig Silliman said it will be a world-class centre.
"This Centre of Excellence will bring together key functions in a creative, collaborative environment that leverages global talent and maximizes our shared services model to best deliver for our businesses globally," he said in December.
"As we continue to leverage our global footprint to best serve our customers, grouping these functions in a world-class centre will improve effectiveness and efficiency to deliver best-in-class results for our customers, employees, and partners," he added.
Based in Ireland since 2006, Verizon currently employs 1,000 workers in Dublin.
