Togher Garda Station in Cork has been evacuated after a viable pipe bomb was brought into the station this morning by a member of the public, in a pram.
The man - who brought the device to the station - said he found it at the rear of his house in the nearby suburb of Ballyphehane.
The army bomb disposal team was called to the scene shortly after 10am and the device has just been made safe.
Gardaí don't believe that the man who found the pipe bomb was the intended target of the attack and that it may have been intended for another family living in the area.
They're investigating whether it may have been linked to a petrol bomb attack on a house in Blackwater Grove in Togher late last Friday night.
