It's believed the victim whose limbs were found in a recycling plant in Ballyfermot in Dublin suffered a violent death.

Investigators are awaiting the results of DNA tests on a dismembered leg and pelvis discovered in a bin in Thorntons Recycling Plant on Thursday night.

A post-mortem carried out on Friday proved inconclusive.

Yesterday, Gardaí discovered bone fragments found on the same site.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
