One of the people injured when a van drove into a crowded Christmas market in the French city of Nantes yesterday has died, according to a report from the BBC.
Nine others were injured in the attack in which a man drove through a crowd of Christmas shoppers. He stabbed himself several times.
It is one of a series of attacks to hit France in recent days, with attacks in Dijon and Tours. A total of 20 people have been injured.
Earlier today, police arrested a man in Cannes fearing he may be armed with shotguns and a knife.
The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, today announced there would be between 2-300 soldiers deployed on French city streets to increase security over the Christmas period.
Mr Valls has moved to calm fears by saying there is no evidence to suggest there is a formal link between the attacks
