Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C are rumoured to be working on their live set, adding to speculation that the girlband are reuniting to mark the end of the sporting event.

Posh Spice has also fuelled the rumours by posting a picture of the sparkly gold microphone she used for the Spice Girls reunion tour in 2007, accompanying the snap with the comment: “Look what I found!!”

The news comes after Posh reportedly agreed to perform at the ceremony, on the provision that it will be their last ever show.

The girls recently reunited in London to promote musical Viva Forever!, which is based on some of their most famous songs.
