One of Ireland's best-known actors has released a video calling for a Yes vote in the upcoming same-sex marriage referendum.

Aidan Gillen wants people to vote yes for children, saying that charities like the ISPCC, Barnardos and Childline have all backed the Yes campaign.

He says many children already live in families with same-sex couples, and the constitution should recognise this.

Gillen is best known for oles in The Wire, Game of Thrones, and Love/Hate.
