It is never nice to be stuck working on Christmas Day, and TV stations especially need to stay open while almost everybody else is on holiday.
The BBC newsroom team, however, decided to indulge in at least one moment of festive cheer while they were in the office on the big day.
Viewers would be forgiven for wondering 'did I really see that?' when a group of people could be seen merrily dancing around the office Christmas tree at the start of a news bulletin.
It was a coordinated effort to coincide with the start of the bulletin as opposed to a moment accidentally caught on camera, however. You can see a clip of the group carefully choreographing the dance below:
