Alongside the Marriage Equality Referendum in May voters, will also be asked about the age for contesting the presidency.

The proposal would lower the age for contesting the presidency from 35 - the minimum age given in the Constitution - to 21.

Cabinet agreed on the wording for the referendum yesterday.
